Combining inertial reflex sensors, algorithms and biomechanics, GaitUP GO solutions clinically validated motion analytics covering all major gait and balance tests. Giving wearables the precision of motion labs, it delivers the need for everyday clinical use through a simple app.

Currently deployed throughout the world in major centers that work with patients who care for stroke, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis, most tests are performed under direct supervision. However, some can be performed independently with the data available for further analysis. It also tests which makes it ideal for use in geriatrics (eg adults living at home), orthopedics (eg arthrosis and knee arthroplasty) and sports medicine.

The NeXus | Q24  brings advanced (q)EEG and multimodal acquisition to a new level, it measures 21 channels of EEG, 2 additional sEMG/ECG/EOG channels and 1 configurable AUX channel, 100 meters of Bluetooth® range, and industry-leading noise reduction — all in a lightweight, portable device designed for professionals who need high-quality EEG with additional physiological parameters.

The Q24 bridges the gap between the NeXus 10 MK3 and the NeXus Q32, offering realiable low noise qEEG data acquisition with just the right blend of channel density, mobility, and versatility.

The NeXus | Q24, developed by Mind Media, is a professional, portable, and wireless system for quantitative EEG (qEEG) acquisition, neurofeedback, research, and multimodal physiological signal analysis.

Designed for professionals who require expanded EEG capabilities without compromising mobility, the Q24 provides 21 EEG channels, along with 2 additional ExG channels for sEMG, ECG, or EOG acquisition and 1 configurable AUX channel for additional peripheral physiological signals.

Combining Active Shielding™, Active Noise Cancellation, battery-powered operation, and long-range Bluetooth connectivity, the system is designed to provide high-quality physiological signal acquisition with reduced interference and artifacts in professional, scientific, and human-performance environments.

21-Channel qEEG

The primary feature of the NeXus | Q24 is its dedicated multichannel EEG acquisition configuration.

The system provides 21 EEG channels, supporting configurations based on the international 10–20 electrode placement system.

This capability makes the Q24 particularly suitable for applications including qEEG assessments, brain mapping, neurofeedback baseline acquisition, source localization, and research recordings.

Multimodal Physiological Acquisition

Although specifically optimized for qEEG, the NeXus | Q24 is not limited to brain activity recording.

In addition to its 21 EEG channels, the system provides 2 additional ExG channels, which can be used to acquire signals such as:

  • sEMG – Surface Electromyography;
  • ECG – Electrocardiography;
  • EOG – Electrooculography.

The system also provides 1 configurable AUX input, enabling the integration of signals such as BVP, GSR, temperature, and respiration, depending on the sensor being used.

This architecture enables professionals to correlate cerebral activity with muscular, cardiovascular, and autonomic responses within the same protocol.

Active Shielding™ and Noise Reduction

Signal quality is one of the fundamental principles of NeXus technology.

The Q24 incorporates Active Shielding™, a technology designed to minimize interference originating from cables and the surrounding environment during physiological signal acquisition.

The system also features Active Noise Cancellation, helping reduce movement-related artifacts and 50/60 Hz electrical interference.

Together, these technologies support high-quality EEG and physiological recordings with low noise levels, including applications performed outside highly controlled laboratory environments.

EEG Cap with International 10–20 System

The NeXus | Q24 can be used with the NeXus EEG Cap, designed to simplify and accelerate EEG preparation.

Electrodes are positioned according to the international 10–20 system, providing a standardized configuration for EEG acquisition.

According to Mind Media, the cables used in its EEG caps are carbon-coated and shielded to help minimize artifacts and interference during measurements.

Long-Range Bluetooth Connectivity

Mobility is another important advantage of the NeXus | Q24.

The system provides wireless Bluetooth communication with a range of up to 100 meters (approximately 328 ft), offering greater flexibility in positioning the user relative to the workstation.

This capability is particularly useful for research, human-performance applications, and protocols where mobility is important during physiological signal acquisition.

Battery-Powered Operation

The NeXus | Q24 uses a battery-powered architecture, eliminating a direct connection between the acquisition device and mains power during recording.

In addition to supporting mobility, this design helps reduce electrical interference associated with power supplies, contributing to lower-noise physiological recordings.

The combination of battery operation, Bluetooth connectivity, and a portable design allows the system to be used flexibly across different professional environments.

Neurofeedback and Brain Mapping

With its 21 EEG channels, the Q24 provides a configuration particularly suited to professionals working with qEEG and neurofeedback.

The system can be used for baseline acquisition, brain activity mapping, and EEG-based training protocols.

Its channel count provides an alternative for professionals who require a more comprehensive EEG configuration than low-channel-count systems without necessarily moving to a 32-channel platform.

Integration with BioTrace+

The NeXus | Q24 is designed to work with BioTrace+, Mind Media's software platform for physiological signal acquisition, visualization, review, and feedback.

The integration enables acquired signals to be visualized in real time and allows different configurations to be structured according to the professional's objectives.

Together, the Q24 and BioTrace+ provide a flexible platform for qEEG, neurofeedback, cognitive training, human performance, and multimodal physiological research.

Synchronization with Stimuli and External Systems

The NeXus | Q24 also provides digital trigger inputs, allowing physiological acquisition to be synchronized with events, stimuli, or external systems.

This capability expands its potential for scientific applications and performance protocols that require specific events to be correlated with physiological data recorded during a session.

Compatibility with NeXus Sensors

The Q24 architecture is designed to integrate with Mind Media's broader NeXus ecosystem.

The manufacturer indicates compatibility with sensors from the NeXus | 10 platform and selected NeXus sensors, allowing professionals to utilize components already available within the ecosystem.

For EEG Caps, the configuration depends on the appropriate Q24 adapter.

A Solution Between the NeXus | 10 MK3 and NeXus | Q32

Within the Mind Media product line, the NeXus | Q24 occupies a strategic position between lower-channel multimodal acquisition and higher-density EEG systems.

While the NeXus | 10 MK3 emphasizes multimodal flexibility with fewer EEG channels and the NeXus | Q32 provides a higher-density platform, the Q24 is designed for professionals whose primary focus is 21-channel qEEG while still requiring mobility and the ability to incorporate additional physiological signals.

This combination makes the Q24 particularly suitable for clinics, neurofeedback professionals, research groups, applied neuroscience environments, and human-performance specialists.

Portability for Professional Applications

The Q24's compact and lightweight design allows EEG acquisition to be performed across a variety of environments.

With long-range Bluetooth connectivity and battery-powered operation, the system reduces dependence on fixed installations and provides greater flexibility for multi-room clinics, research conducted in different locations, and protocols requiring greater freedom of movement.

High-Quality EEG with Multimodal Flexibility

The NeXus | Q24 combines the capabilities of a professional 21-channel EEG configuration with additional options for multimodal physiological acquisition.

By bringing together qEEG, ExG, autonomic signals, wireless connectivity, noise-reduction technologies, and BioTrace+ integration, the system provides a versatile platform for professionals who require high-quality physiological data without sacrificing mobility.

More than a dedicated EEG acquisition system, the Q24 makes it possible to complement brain activity with additional physiological information, creating a multimodal approach for a wide range of professional and scientific applications.
